I have started first finance
classes in Iran back in 1970's. In recent years, my research area
includes investment funds and real estate finance. My latest
research focuses on applicability of various real estate instruments in Iran. I have been recently involved in Private Banking Development and Investment Banking in Iran. My recent academic work
concentrates on Capital Structure Theories and Financial Bubble.
Based on my research, I have
engineered and started many investment funds and companies, time-share
companies, real estate development companies, endowment funds,
and initiated participative bonds in Iran. As a consultant in the
area of stock exchange mechanism, banking, and valuation, I have
prepared feasibility reports.
I have written papers on Testing
Efficiency of Tehran Stock Exchange Index, MBO and Performance
Evaluation in Iran, and Iranian Banks' Optimal Portfolio
Management (my
publications). My articles have
appeared in the top Iranian journals including the Journal of
Financial Research and Accountant. I’m also a
regular contributor to Iranian professional and popular journals.
I’ve served on the editorial boards of a few journals. During the last three years I have been publishing Sarmayeh Daily (Sarmayeh) the most prominent Iranian economic daily.
